Nikita, voila reponse de Ranger : The road you are asking about is generally called Gæsavatnaleið between Nýidalur and Dreki. It is only passable with a superjeep. The river crossings are mainly on the F910 part between Fossaleiti and Nýidalur, but the ones on Gæsavatnaleið specifically are Flæður, which is a large area that gets flooded with melted glacial water usually in the afternoon and the amount depends on the temperature, sun and wind. End of August and early September are usually quite cold and so Flæður are usually not a problem. However, the condition of the road itself is the reason you need a superjeep to pass it. Crossing on your own is possible, but it's always better and recommended to cross with more cars. Phone reception is limited on the route, and can only be reached in a few spots, mainly closer to Dreki and Nýidalur. The drive from Dreki to Nýidalur via Gæsavatnaleið on a superjeep takes between 7-9 hours.
